The partnership of The Chartered College of Teaching (CCoT), The Council for Subject Associations (CfSA), The National Association of School Based Teacher Training (NASBTT), The Teaching Schools Council (TSC) and The Universities Council for Teacher Education (UCET is committed to supporting early career teachers to make the strongest start to their teaching journey. This is more important than ever considering the huge challenges for the profession caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
We must ensure that the next generation of teachers have access to the resources they need and are fully equipped to provide excellent teaching.
The Chartered College, supported by the partnership, has launched the Early Career Hub; a resource packed with articles, interactive content and high-quality classroom footage created by teachers, academics, ITT providers and Subject Associations; aligned to the Early Career Framework and Teachers’ Standards and tailored to the needs of early career teachers.
The Early Career Hub is available free to all student teachers and NQT members of the Chartered College. Further support for student teachers and NQTs is available from the Subject Associations.
We would like to thank the Chartered College, Sheffield Institute of Education at Sheffield Hallam, UCET, NASBTT, TSC and the CfSA for their support with the project. We are also grateful to the wide range of ITT providers and Subject Associations who have provided content for the launch of the Hub. New resources will be added regularly, and if you would like to contribute links, ideas, or provide feedback, please get in touch at hello@chartered.college.
