Subject description:
English is a discipline of unusual breadth: it brings together the study of literature, language, and writing, and is central to how pupils access learning across the curriculum. Teaching English well demands deep subject knowledge, responsive pedagogy, and a strong sense of professional community. At every stage of their careers, English teachers benefit from sustained subject-specific development to continually drive their practice in the classroom for all pupils .
About your SA :
Litdrive is a teacher-led, registered charity and associate subject association for English teachers across England. Founded in 2017, we exist to bring English teachers together to lead high-quality professional learning, informed by research and collaboration with the wider subject community. We believe the English teaching profession is stronger when teachers think together. Our national and regional CPD events, online sessions, Community Forums and curriculum resources are designed and delivered by English teachers, for English teachers.
